How do you know when you're an internationally beloved superstar? When you raise your middle figure on stage at an awards show, and that awards show issues you an apology!
On Tuesday night at the BRIT Awards, Adele had just stepped up to receive the trophy for Best Album when her acceptance speech was cut short. She responded by flipping the proverbial bird, a move she later explained was directed at producers, not the fans. See for yourself:

And those producers feel very badly about their decision, having just released the following statement:
"We regret this happened and we send our deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short this evening due to the live show over-running. We don't want this to undermine her incredible achievement in winning our night's biggest award. It tops off what's been an incredible year for her."
That's for certain. Adele's "#21" set a record this week by finishing on top of the Billboard 200, for the 21st consecutive time.
